What does it feel like? Can you even feel it? The type they scan?

Ana has a spot on her back, near her spin in the middle... it reminds me of a clip to close a bag. It can feel the entire thing. It is not a tumor. It feels like a peice of plastic.
I am going to have my husband feel it to make sure (I am positive of what I feel) and see if it reminds him of what it reminds me of.

Doesn't bother her but I don't even like petting her on that side or near her spine.

Microchips are implanted in between the shoulder blades. They sometimes shift or travel to other parts of the body (elbow, rib cage.) Yes, depending on the cat, you can feel the chip. I'd say it's about the size of a piece of Orzo pasta and would have a similar feel under the skin.

Must be what it is. I guess I thought they were like a micro chip size and in or around the shoulder.
She is the only one who feels weird.

Microchips are about the size and shape of a grain of rice (or orzo, if you prefer!). They definitely shouldn't feel like a bag clip. They're usually injected in between the shoulder blades. I wouldn't say this is an emergency but I would have the vet feel it the next time she goes in.

Ok Ana and Elsa have a weird feeling. I assume is the chip but it is big.

I wish I could describe it better. I'd say 10 across, two levels up and across. So hard to explain but definitely not a piece of rice.

Both cats have it by the right, middle of their back, near their spine. It seems to move easily. Not much, but it does move.
Makes it hard to pet them with my hands that are deformed.

BTW....Thank you!

Not sure if cats can produce keloids, similar to humans, and it is a chip that the cat is starting to produce scar tissue around.

Best way to know is go to the vet I suppose.

No vaccines. It feels like 1"x1"x1". Like a square piece of plastic.

Does not feel like anything but a piece of plastic. I feel it in Ana and Elsie.
I need to check the other 2. See if they all feel the same. I thought it would be a lot smaller. Someone said like a piece of rice. Not a small (mini) memory card.

Cats can develop scar tissue around the chips (one of mine has) but, that is not very common.

I would have a vet check then out to be on the safe side. The size that you are describing is MUCH larger a microchip.

It reminds me of a lego. I was trying to figure out how to explain what it feels like.
Not feeling it in Wally. Haven't gotten a hold of Mew yet.
