Bailey has been sleeping more, eating less and drinking less

I know how this can be attributed to the heat in CA, we have had 90 degrees everyday for a week here, and even I am sleeping more and eating less.  Problem is, it makes me extremely anxious because I know after 3 days, there is not much you can do when their kidneys start shutting down, etc.  How do I know the best thing to do, when you go to veterinarians today, they always seem to drift into these tests that are pricey and insist on doing them, I am out of
work and don't have money falling out of my pockets, please help!

How long has this been going on for? How much more is he sleeping? How much is he eating/drinking?  In previous heat waves, has he also slept more and ate less?

Honestly, if I were you I would go to the vet. Explain your financial situation at the outset so that they can help you make sound decisions for diagnosis and treatment within your budget.  It is better to be safe than sorry, and it is never a good sign when any of these things is happening, let alone all three together.
