FYI....it doesn't SEEM to be bothering her other than she keeps licking the scab. She is running and playing, eating and peeing and pooping just fine.
A few days ago we could SEE into the next layer of skin or fat. I couldn't today. Literally see the fur level and the layer under.

Thought I'd mention it.

How many days post-op is she?

It does appear that she also has some swelling which could be associated with a reaction to her internal sutures dissolving.

Do you have an e-collar to put on her to keep her from licking the area?

Sometimes cats that have suture reactions, coupled with external openings need antibiotics to keep the area from getting infected or abscessed.

No e-collar. Tuesday, the 22nd. It does not look infected to me... but I am not a vet. Nor have I ever had a cat with an issue from being fixed.
The red is her licking the spot. A tiny spot of raw.

Th e-collar was another $25+ per cat. We didn't have it and I had never had an issue with previous cats.

I agree, just from looking at the photo, it doesn't appear to be a serious problem... HOWEVER, most vets or spay/neuter clinics will gladly recheck things like this and often for no fee. Better to get it checked, it's part of what you pay for with the surgery, in my humble opinion!

Thank you!
This vet place seemed to want get animals in and out. Maybe if it isn't a free month for fixing animals, she will get more attention. I need to find a caring vet here in the Phoenix area. Love they fixed the kids for free, but they are very limited in what they do.

Hey, guess what- I'm in Phoenix, too. I don't provide routine care, but if you want to call me I can suggest a couple of options close to your home. You can find my web site and phone number by Googling Tabitha Thompson DVM.

Where are you? What typevof care do you do? Are you on FB? We would make the drive! I love my babies that much. We got them in N. Phoenix. Lol. Are you open Saturdays?
I HAVE TO get my human son clothes today. School starts Monday. Boys are so hard to shop for. Ugh.
We bought little girl her clothes and only hit one store. Lol. JUSTICE for girls... their clearance was like 95% off!

Hi Rachel,

I only do housecalls for acupuncture, herbs and food therapy right now. I don't have a clinic and don't provide routine care. I can give you a referral to someone who does.

Yes, I'm on Facebook under naturalalternativesvet

Sorry, they won't let me post any links here.
