I was brushing my cat, Pandora, last night and noticed a mysterious lump, about the size of a Cheeto (a cheezy, puffy chip with an odd shape for those who may not know) on her tummy. It is near her back two teats and it doesn't seem to bother her when I touch it or pet her tummy (She loves tummy rubs) but I am still worried. I of course called my vet this morning and scheduled an appointment for Aug 12th to have it looked at and, if needed, get a biopsy done.

What I'm wondering is, have any of your kitty babies had lumps? Did they turn out to be tumors, cancerous or where they just fatty lumps? I'm very worried about my baby. If it makes a difference she's 18 months old and a Norwegian Forest Cat. From my research, they don't exactly have a predisposition to cancer but that certainly doesn't make it out of the realm of possibility.

Thank you for all answers!

This is Pandora and my 1 year old son, taken just last week.

Maia has one in her tummy and someone told me it was just scar tissue from her spaying. I am keeping an eye on it but it doesn't seem to bother her either. The lump is soft kind of fatty.

My vet asked if she had been spayed, she hasn't as I intend to breed her, so I know it's not scar tissue. Hers feels fatty as well, so I'm hoping its just a fatty tumor or something of the like.

Calico weegie... very pretty.   At only 18 months I think the odds are against it being cancer.   More likely a cyst or some type of benign skin growth.

Best wishes
