Olie's fur looks ok , but need combing on the belly . I try combing him a few times really gendle , so he wont freak out .If I comb him on top of the back and his head he really don't want me to do that but I can sneak here and there a little combing . But he complaints and don't want to be combed at all and I know I have to start combing his belly and the rest of his body .I just got him on Saturday as a rescue cat and so don't want to freak him out . Olie come from a breeder who has passed away in Ga. , so I really don't know how she was combing him .
With Cookie I think I will be able slowly to comb more and has more patiance . I need some help from you guys . How can I slowly but gendle make him like the combing ? Or how can I trick him ? Or ??? Both are Persian cats . Thanks ....

I wish I could give you some advise! I cared for a persian kitten for 2 months, and tried everything under the sun...the treats, the step by step and NOTHING worked. We had to resort to just one person holding, and the other combing and then he would get lots of love and treats. I also have a Maine Coon who has been bathed and brushed since he was about 10 weeks old, and to this day he hates it and it takes 2 of us to get it done properly.

Thank you Sandie for responding . I was afraid of something like that . Maybe in time he will open up to me and let me , if not I just sneak here and there a little combing . And once a month I just get him to the groomer
Oh well ....
