I have a gorgeous 5yr old male Belamese (sp?), rescued at 4 months and neutered young named Peter.

Peter rules the neighborhood but is a bit of a lover at home.

Problem is he goes into neighbors homes through cat and dog doors, eats food, threatens their animals, and is known to spray and ruin furniture.

Some neighbors say he scares them and refuses to leave when "shewed".

Vet prescribed medicine which he violently spits out.

When I keep him in, Peter is capable of howling and follows everyone begging to go out.

What do I do with this love of our life who is despised (rightly so) by my neighbors?

is it possible to construct a cat enclosure for your Peter? do you have some yard space to do that? the entrance to the enclosure could be through a window in your home. here's a link to a thread with photos of a cat enclosure that a member here had made for her cats -- http://www.thecatsite.com/t/276982/moving-house-taking-the-colony-with-me-any-advice-please

I second the idea of a cat enclosure.  People make them in all kinds of sizes and shapes.  Even apartment balconies can be "cat proofed."   It might be an investment for you; but your neighbors may eventually lose patience.

I remember reading a similar thread a few years ago. A lady in the UK had a neighbor's cat doing the same to her.

I think a catio or an outside enclosure would be your best bet. It's obvious that your neighbors will quickly get angry. You don't want one of them taking your fellow "for a ride", or acting violent towards him.
