Peeing... appropriately.... in a new position?

I moved my cat's litter box, like.... 10 feet. To a place it's been moved before. The first time she used it after the move, she went and laid down in it. She does this sometimes, so I figured it was ok. But then I heard tinkling. She was peeing laying down! I tried googling but nothing relevant came up. Does anyone know what's up with this? She sits and runs and stuff, doesn't act like the standard position would have hurt her. Is this something to worry about?

With no scientific knowledge to back this up: my only concern would be if urine gets on her fur, but then, she'd lick it off I would think.
Ritz (female) pees standing up 75% of the time and she doesn't cover her pee (she does cover her poop). I've learned that that is just one of her idiosyncracies.

One of my 3 yr olds with FLUTD will pee in a laying down position more when his symptoms flare up. However, I will note that he also has some spinal nerve damage which likely contributes to this behavior at least a little. But, he does pee in a fairly upright position when symptoms are at bay.
