My Squiggy is a sweet 7 month old boy who has been neutered for a little over a month now. Currently I am feeding him 1/2 cup of dry kitten food and a 3 oz can of wet food (not necessarily kitten only at this point -- which I'm not sure if that's wise or not), spread out into three meals throughout the day. I'm just wondering if this is too much food, or too little? Also, since he has been neutered, should I be transitioning him into adult food, or is it okay to keep him on the kitten food for awhile longer? Thanks for your help!

Kitten food tends to be higher in calories. You can continue to feed that and gradually switch to any all stages adult food.

At 7 months he is still growing, an adolescent. It is tough to figure out how much food he actually needs. Just keep an eye on his weight. Once he's full grown, an adult neutered indoor cat needs about 20 calories per pound of ideal body weight. If he is very active he may need a little more.
