Yeah, he is surely a point.   If its flame (red) or red creme, I wont swear.    Both these colors makes the  masques arent very visible, creme of course  the weaker of them two - sometimes almost invisible.

And yes, he has quite some looks of a  Siamese, old type.    His slender posture is probably not just the starvation, but cats with much of siamese in them are sleek by nature.

if he is

Although if he is a mix from two carriers of the point gene whom themselves can have almost any looks, or if he is  the real thing, we cant know.  They would look similiar.

As he was starved AND friendly, we safely assume he is a home boy whom got astray - or was dumped.    A real semiferale MAY be friendly, but would  manage better on his own.

You were both lucky here!    Gott sei dank, as they say.

Good luck!

What is a point?

And he wasn't friendly at all, I was just really patient. He we skittish and had scratched several of the neighborhood kids and my neighbor when they tried to feed him. Originally I'd planned to bring him to the humane society (I figured he'd scratch me quite a bit when I picked him up) and he's still quite mean to any person who comes in my house. Maybe he just had bad people experiences? He's quite nonchalant towards my other cats, and the big tomcat who lives in the neighborhood. I thought he might have gotten astray or dumped but it would have had to have been weeks ago.

He doesn't look very old...maybe just my computer monitor again...

Has he been fixed?  Poor little guy; how lucky that he allows you to handle him and feed him.  He looks so sweet after his bath. Considering he may be feral, to allow a bath is wonderful.

His nose and face shape does look a little Siamese and that breed does tend to bond to one owner and maybe he picked you.

They are also very vocal.

Keep us posted on his progress.
