Hello,
My six (probably close to seven now) month old kitten has loose bowels this morning. Sorry I know it's gross, but it's not super watery- lets say that her stool was unformed and made a mess on the floor when it got in her fur. My other cat had a bout of being "unwell" last week, threw up a couple times, but I blamed it on the heat (the humidex has been 35 degrees celsius + which is really hot for Canada!) and in a day or two he was back to himself. I'm more concerned about her, she's very petite (around 6 pounds) as it is, and she has a tendency to eat whatever she can fit into her mouth (most recent on that list are zucchini bread, tostito chips, and a box of gluten free crackers!) She has even learned to open the cupboard to get out what she wants- we are going to have to child lock the pantry! I am really careful about what I leave around, knowing what she's like, but it's still likely she's eaten something that doesn't agree with her. She doesn't seem lethargic (in fact she's lying on the keyboard purring as I'm writing this!) but still I know with this heat and her small size dehydration could be an issue. Any warning signs I should look for? At what point do I take her to a vet? Suggestions on what to do to help her tummy feel better?
