i have two cats, one male that we have raised since he was a baby, the other a female around the same age that we rescued off the streets about a month ago, when we brought her in we didnt realize she was pregnant. Our male cat has never had problems with the litter box, since we have brought the female in, he hasnt used either of the litter boxes and continues to pee all over the house, on clothes, beds, floor mats, etc.. When he has to poop he wont go around the house, but rather on the floor right beside one of the litter boxes. We have tried moving the litter boxes to different areas of the house, seperating the litter boxes, changing the type of litter, however nothing seems to be working! HELP :(

Hello!

it is your male cat ´neutered? many male cats don't handle a pregnant cat very well, if your cat isn't neutered maybe he is marking territory.

Do you have two litter boxes? maybe he smells her scent in the box and that's why he is trying to avoid it. Other reason could be that he is seeking for your attention, since you have raised this male cat for so long he is jealous of the new family member.

Excellent post, very adequate proposals and questions, just to second them.

There may be more to say, but lets begin with these.   :)      @tiggerandlilly
