My brother decided to buy Weruva (he believes cats should eat many flavors/types of food as long as it's high quality). She enjoys eating the chicken flavors and the Honest Kitchen is chicken too. But she wont touch raw chicken. Maybe I should try different parts of chicken... I'm thinking about coating the chicken with honest kitchen and cutting it into really tiny pieces. Cats bring out the creativity in us ;DYeah.... and it is. (beef = fatty). *sigh* I have one kitty that doesn't eat much variety in meat. He LOVES red meats: beef, lamb, venison. Of course, the venison is good for him and low fat, but I can't afford to feed it as anything but an infrequent part of the protein rotation.
I can get him to each chicken breast (HATES thigh and cornish hen) if I cut it into bite-sized pieces, sprinkle freeze-dried salmon that I powder over it and shake around to completely coat it - and I use the firmest parts of it (and feed the other cats the softer stuff).
What you *might* want to consider doing, if you can afford it (because these treats are EXPENSIVE), is try the Origen Bison treats. They crush into powder-ish crumbles easily. If Chloe likes the treats, you can do the same thing I do - completely coat small bite-sized pieces to alter the smell.
But I would say that 60% - 70% of Lazlo's diet is red meat. Not the best, but... at least cats do well with high fat diets. And I think a main concern with it is weight gain. So if you adjust the amount to account for the calories - just keep an eye on her weight while you figure out how to introduce other proteins and get her eating them. IMO.
