We have two young torties and they do a couple of things the other cats don't. They both stand with their right paw pointing, pulling out water dishes to fill, and cry to be let in one specific room. Does anyone else have ones that do that?
My cats paw at their dishes if they want more food or water and cry to be let into any room or cupboard that has the door shut. I think it's the door being shut that makes them interested. They don't point with their paws, but if I offer them some food they don't like they'll shake their right front paw as if it's wet and they are trying to shake the water off. One cat started doing it a few years ago and now all the others do it too.
What do you think the pointing means? Are they trying to tell you something?
When i got my baby calico the vet said "ohh..a crazy calico" i soon knew what she ment! Omg..Lola is a handfull! She paws her food and water too and she carries her toys and dunks or drops them in her water and fishes them out. She also loves being squirted with the garden hose and she waits out side the shower for me to fill my mouth with water and squirt at her lol. If i dont she will scream at me and claw the door open and come in.
She is an odd ball and i hear a lot about calico and torti cats being strange.
that's so cute! your kitties must be so smart! I have two tabbies, they also cry out when want to enter in to a room. I think that's a common behavior amount cats ^^
