Are there any gentle shampoos or homemade tricks that I can use on our pregnant cat to kill off some fleas? Our dog takes Comfortis and our other 2 cats get spot treatments, but since this one showed up already pregnant I'm not sure what to do for her. The fleas weren't too bad at first, but I guess maybe we're bringing them in on our shoes because they seem to be getting worse and only bothering her, not the other animals. I hate to see her have her babies and they become infested right off the bat. And my other thought- do you think it would be too stressful to give her a bath at this point. We're figuring she's at about 59 days (just a rough guess)

Most forumites uses a Dawn soap solution, to bathe with.  If you dont want to bathe, you can try and comb them out, drowning the fleas in water with some soap in.  Dawn or any other mild soap.

All these fleas may be her own, new maturing with time from eggs and larvaes, so that is why they seems to be more and more.

Look out so she doenst infest the whole flat.  Keep her for herself somewhere where its easy to clean.  A bathroom is ideal for this.

What are the spot ons you use on your other cats?  Some are OK also for pregnants - but you must know for sure...

Good luck!   @amyjo5995

The other 2 cats get Frontline. I will try the Dawn. I had also read something about using vinegar. Might try some of that, too. I'm not sure that she will sit still long enough for me to comb through her like that. She's pretty squirmy . Of course, a bath won't be too easy, either :) I just want to make sure the babies won't get infested.

I heard some where about garlic powder rub a decent amount on her sides but not to much and let her lick it. To get in her system .
Ive never tried it. My girl is 63 days today and shea a little on the restless side .

I wouldnt recommend it.   Garlic is poisonous for cats.   True, its not as poisonous as the theory says.  So it may be this tricks works.

But I wouldnt never experiment anything on a high preg!

If I must experiment, so on someone healthy -  or if really desperate, in the face of oncoming death.
