cat that found me and i took in has a slight scratch or scar on eye vet said. Her eye tears at times otherwise she is fine. They gave me eye drops but it still tears at times Should I just leave it alone and give it time to heal. Perhaps her new indoor life will heal it. I took the cat in and cannot afford to keep going to a vet. The vet I went to was low cost , sort of. any ideas

you mean clear tears in the corner of the one eye?
if that is the case and you cannot afford a vet then you really have no choice but to keep using those eye drops and wait and see if the scratch will heal. is the scratch on the cornea - where on the eye is the scratch? what is the name of the drops you are using?
If all it is happening is clear tears then I wouldnt worry about it. This sounds normal as the eye is irritated from the scratch or scar whatever it is.
some cats have eyes that tear all the time it is not a big deal unless there is an infection which you sometimes see the skin under the eyelid is red and inflamed.
