Hello everyone :wavey:

Sorry I am late with today's question, I've had a really busy day ;)

Have you ever broken a bone ? If so, how many and what ?

I've been lucky and never broken any bones :D But I have fractured my skull twice, when I was a child.
Once when I fell out of a tree and once when I fell off my bike :lol3:

Never broken, fractured, or sprained a thing. I'm a creature of low risk, and a scaredy cat.

When I was about 12 years old I broke about 3 bones in my foot while I was doing some sort of vault thing in gymnastics class. I landed weird coming down off the vault. One foot hit the Matt the other hit the floor. I also broke my nose in gym class (grade 10 I think) when I got hit in the face with a basket ball. I was never a very coordinated kid.

Gosh...  I'm knocking wood hard as I type this!  :)  Never broken a bone.

The only overnight stays I have had in a hospital were related to my daughter.  Once when I delivered her, the other when she broke her arm.

My wrist was fractured when I was 12. It was never set though. I happened to get quite a shock from an adjustable bed my gramma was in in the hospital. The shock held me i couldnt move and when my mom figured out what was happening she slammed me on the back breaking the current and fracturing my wrist. She saved my life. It was the type of current that slowly drains your body not the type that throws you. The hospital freaked out and admitted me ran all sorts of neurological tests and even though I told them my wrist hurt they didn't find it. My GP found it 2 weeks later and I refused to have it re broken to have it set properly.

Never broken a bone, but I cracked my head open twice as a child and had to have staples. Once, I fell down the stairs and hit my head on the door and the second time I hit my head off a cupboard in the kitchen.

The only bone I have broken was my big toe. Our 1500lb cow stepped on it
I'm lucky he didn't catch more of me or my entire foot would have been shattered!

Not until six weeks ago. I broke the toe next to my big toe, left foot. It is broken through the joint. It is still swollen and bruised at the joint. The Ortho Dr. told me last week expect 3-6 more months of swelling. After the weekend I am supposed to be soaking the foot, then trying to move the toe around some with my fingers. It is very stiff and won't bend.

Never officially.  I put a chair down on my little toe and leaned on it at the same time.  It took weeks to stop hurting.  I've assumed it was a minor fracture or close to it!  I took a good wack to the nose with a lacrosse stick in gym class when I was in high school.  That hurt for a full day.  One of my teachers was a football coach and he looked at it and didn't think it was broken.

Officially, I slipped on ice a few years back and lost a little bit of the tip of my little finger and broke it. :cringe:

Unofficially I stubbed a tow really, really bad once and was told that there was a chance there was a slight fracture.

You made me exclaim out loud about your little toe. Ouch.

I've broken my left little toe more times than I'd like yi remember. The trick is to plaster it to the toe next to it for support. It heals quicker and is less painful.
A fee months ago I broke a bone in my wrist by falling over. Outside.

Other than sticking a needle in my eye, I've never had any big accidents, luckily; that includes broken bones.
Twisted ankle and thrown back is about as bad as I remember (those healed on their own, with me taking ibuprofen for a couple of days).

Broke some metatarsels in both feet (separate times, thankfully), 4 ribs, and my neck and back have been fractured but not displaced fractures.  Horses were involved in all of my fractures.

In 1990 I crashed my mountain bike. I fell 20 feet at 15mph, landing on my head and right hand. I crushed the end of the radius, chipped the end of the ulna, and cracked the navicular (a small bone in the hand). I had 4 steel screws attached to an external fixation device for 6 weeks to fix the crushed bone, then a cast for 5 weeks to heal the cracked navicular. I have full hand strength, but have lost some flexibility.

In 2006 I crashed my road bike while riding downtown. I fell on my elbow, and sheared the end of the humerus at the top by the shoulder. Had to have my arm strapped to my torso for a few weeks and couldn't do a thing with my arm. I have full mobility & strength back.

In 2011 I was shooting hoops and was dunking on some brothers and came down wrong  (that's really funny if you know me) roller skating and fell sideways (I was wearing quad skates, not in-line). As I fell I heard two cracks, so I stayed down. Luckily, there were two EMTs at the rink, so they diagnosed the fracture, applied a make-shift splint, and directed my wife to take me to the ER. I had what is known as a High Ankle Sprain. I cracked the fibula and stretched a ligament out of place. I have two kevlar sutures holding the ankle in place. Full strength and mobility has returned.
