Sorry, i misunderstood you. I wouldn't like my cat to be neutered because i don't know if he want it or no, isn't that a private life ? sorry i won't do that, so i prefer that he remain normal.

oh Canada~
Cats are often anthropomorphized like this, but the reality is that cats don't have the same thought process that humans do about their reproductive organs. They can't decide whether or not they want to have sex like humans do - they are controlled completely by hormones and the pheromones around them, so any unaltered female cat in heat is an invitation to them to breed, not for pleasure but because their brain is wired to make babies every chance they get, like most animals. They may end up breeding with their own family because they don't care which cat is which, they just know they're in heat. I personally don't know what the cat population is like in Morocco, but there are many homeless cats all over the world and this could be prevented by spaying and neutering pets.

The cat won't miss having sex. Once the hormones slow down and phase out of their systems after being spayed or neutered, they live a normal and happy life without the need to breed all the time. This can also reduce the number of fights they get in because they aren't all chasing after the same females, and they may not feel the need to wander as far. The Cat Site is a pro-spay/neuter site and the vast majority of us other members have perfectly happy and healthy spayed and neutered cats.

I would greatly urge you to have your cat remain at home at least until he is fully healed, but preferably all the time. A cats life span is significantly reduced by going outdoors. The average lifespan for an indoor cat is 15-20 years as opposed to the 3-5 year average of an outdooor cat. This also will mean higher cost to you for incidents like this resulting from his outdoor lifestyle. I understand your family doesn't like it, but if he is neutered he will calm down and his urge to wander will be gone and he will be much easier to live with overall. The life of your cat is at stake!

Far as the neuter goes without it you will see fight wounds that will need to be treated.  They do not have sex out of love or anything but instinct.  The risks of him getting infected and needing another high cost vet visit are very high.  The reason he does not want to stay with you is his hormones are telling him make babies, make as many babies as I can.  He will wear himself ragged and as he loses more fights which will happen when there is a better boy cat around he will be at increased risk of disease or being hit by car as he trys to wander further and further.

It is too bad you did not get him neutered while the wound was being treated as it would not cost much since he would already be under anesthesia.  Even if he is to be an outside cat, he would stay close to home and not go wandering and get in fights if he was neutered.

Have returned now from doctor, still under anesthesia and the situation is critical according to doctor speech. He recommended me to throw sugar powder regularly into the injury and clean it with betadine. He said that the injury should remain open that is better for him and toll me i should return in 3 days. Any recommandations to do here are welcome. Thank you.

Keep him inside as rolling in dirt or anything like cats tend to do could kill him.  Keep him quiet as you can.

Glad to hear he is doing well! I'm sure this was stressful. Keep up the good work, I am sure he will be his normal self again soon.

Hi, i continue to add betadine and sugar till now. I would like to ask for a pharmaceutical product to add to the injury to help keep the medicament on it, betadine and sugar are quickly lost, do you know any pomades to use and for example if it is pomades for humans does it will work for cat as well in this situation ?
