i have 2 cats that ive had to keep separated for probably a year or so now. i switch them back and forth from the living room and bedroom. well i recently got the feliway diffusers and put nail caps on the aggressive cat. is it okay if i let them spend some time together to see how things go? if they do get in a fight will snuggs still be able to hurt moe really bad if he has the nail caps on? they seem to be doing so much better than they use to and i think there ready to spend some time together. i just dont want to risk moe getting severely hurt.

Have you tried proper reintroductions between the two?  That should be your first step.  Reintroductions can take a long time, but are worth it in the end.  Here are a few sites to help: They are all for introductions, but often in multi cat households, cats need to be reintroduced for many reasons.  If one of your cats is ill the other may sense it and attack the cat.  If one went to the vet and came home smelling funny, it can upset the cat that stayed home.  If the cats see other cats in their yard outside, it can upset one of them and they attack the other.  Once the attacks start, it can be hard to get them to stop without proper reintroductions.

I hope that both cats are spayed/neutered or that could be the cause of your problem.
