Hey everyone :) so I know there are so many questions on here about cats being picky but this is different...my Sparta lately has suddenly started turning her nose at the food she has been eating ....SOMETIMES.....she would eat the food served fresh from the can however if the food has been refrigerated and microwaved she won't touch it at all! Which kind of sucks because the cans I buy are 200 g and she's 4 months old so she should be eating it throughout the day...But if I leave the can out of the fridge the food will go bad! What do I do?? This is weird because she used to even eat her food straight from the can/from the fridge/and microwaved! and no it's not too hot for her when it's microwaved....I even noticed that sometimes when she refuses to eat, I change the plate she eats -_- but that doesn't always work though. Any advice??

She has been eating animonda carny...I'm thinking about trying another food but can she still eat both? Like can she for example get one day a can of animonda and one day grau( with gradual introduction) Or will that be upsetting to her tummy?

In general, you can feed several different brands of canned food without worrying about GI issues. Many people feed 3 or 4 different brands/flavors in rotation.

For instance, my cats eat Nature's Variety Instinct, Pride by Instinct, Natural Balance and Nulo.

So long as there isn't an ingredient in the food that they can't tolerate, they do fine with rotation of canned food. And it *may* help the cat not get bored/tired of eating the same thing all the time.

Thanks! And should I transition gradually or simply try out a different brand right away since they're both canned food?

Yes, it's fine to rotate through several different brands. I do this to keep my cats interested in their wet food. Just go slowly and introduce one new food at a time, so if there's any bad reaction to a particular food, you'll know which one it is.

You can also leave canned food out in her dish for several hours, you don't have to refrigerate it right away. I've found my cats like to eat a little at first and go back later to finish their meal. If it sits out too long it will get dry and unappealing before it actually goes bad.

If you do have to refrigerate some of her food, make sure you put it in a glass or plastic container. If you leave it in the can it can get a metallic taste.
