Cat Singed Eyebrow Whiskers

Hi, everyone. I had a candle on my desk, and my cat walked up to it and was very put off by his first interaction with an open flame. After some cautious inspection, he stuck his face right into it and singed his eyebrow whiskers. I'm sure they'll grow back just fine, I was just wondering if I should trim the curly bits off? He's very upset with the situation, and is rubbing his forehead on the wall and wiping his paws over his face.
Thanks for any advice. 

I`d  probably just leave it be.
