I have two rescue cats (9 year old Kizzie and 2 year old Murphy).  I adopted them separately (within a couple of weeks of each other) and have had them both for 3 months approx.

I am thinking about taking on an 18 month old wee boy (from the same shelter).  He is very calm, friendly and playful (alot like my 2 year old, Murphy).  Can anyone give me any advice regarding introducing a third cat and what their experiences have been.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for such a lovely welcome!

The websites will be really helpful and I'll have a good read of them tonight.

I'm a sucker for a sad story and I absolutely love my cats!  My husband has said we have to stop at 3 though.  I have absolutely fallen in love with the rescue and think he might be a good addition.   Short haired, jet black wee boy.

I had read on some other sites that it's a nightmare introducing a third.  Someone referred me to this site though for advice as most people seem to be against it.

Thanks so much for your input.  Much appreciated
