What is up with Wellness?

Wellness did something to their cubed and sliced chicken and cubed and sliced salmon canned food. A couple months ago my cat stopped eating January '17 expiration cans of chicken. These cans were made January '14. The gravy was more jelly like and darker. I could see and smell the difference myself. The salmon January '17 is now just hitting the shelves and my cat won't eat it. It too has become jelly like and darker.

I did secure some prior January '17 cans to mix with the new, but cat won't eat it. I've tried all kinds of different brand canned food and she will not touch any of it. I'm afraid my cat is going to have to go to dry exclusively and I will have to try again to get her to eat wet at a later date.
It sure won't be Wellness! They said it is still the same formula. They lie. I don't trust them anymore.

Ii have seen that there are differences between batches for many brands, but I do not feed Wellness so I can't comment specifically on it. It's really hard to tell with cats if there's something wrong with the food itself or if they're being picky or bored with their current food. Have you tried feeding any other types of wet?

I've tried at least 20 different brands over the past few months....every which way...toppers...you name it. I even tried a 1/2 teaspoon of newer date Wellness with the older batches that she liked totally covering it. Little stinker has X-ray smell and walked away.

I'm trying Stella and Chewy tonight.

I think I'm going to have to resort to transitioning her to completely dry for a while so when I do offer wet again she will be more open to different brands. I'm finding out she is picky and stubborn.

It is a big fat NO on the Stella and Chewy.
