My cat is 10 years old and I know there is something wrong with him.  I take him to the vet all of the time because he is an outdoor/indoor cat.  Ever since he had his teeth cleaned and one of his teeth extracted about a year ago, he has had issues.  I don't know if it is related or not.  He was treated for a blood parasite infection because he was loosing weight and became enemic.  He recovered from that, but again began to loose weight.  So I took him back to the vet for more bloodwork and $275 later, nothing conclusive was found, only a slight elevation in his calcium level.  They wanted to do even more blood work and possible ultrasounds.  I just can't do that right now.

Now, his glands on his neck are VERY swollen.  So swollen that you can see them and they seem to be uncomfortable for him when I touch them.  He also still seems to be thinner than usual, but is eating ad drinking and otherwise behaving normally.

What could the swollen glands mean?  Could he have cancer?  What causes his neck glands to get so large.....there are multiple lumps, some larger than other and they are getting bigger and bigger.

Did he have his thyroid checked? That's the first thing that comes to mind. The loss of weight could be an indication of a thyroid problem as well.
