Tonight I went to feed the 3 fosters on the back porch - pulled open a gate to crawl thru and Billie ran out. We thought, what the heck, let's let them out and see what happens.

Spanky instantly became part of the family. He is romping and playing with the Dakota, Sage, Koko and Muddy as if he lived with them all his life.

Stumpy walked up to Oscar and started grooming him. Oscar is a bit intimidated by the size of the house but is otherwise doing well and exploring cautiously.

Billie is running around like she owns the place. Up and down the cat condo, running laps thru the kitchen, hallway, dining room and living room (we have a lot of figure 8's in the house).

There is the clunk-clunk-clunk-clatter of 7 kittens running around on hard-wood floors like maniacs (you know that sound) with the adults jumping in when they can.

I'm trying to get pictures of the mayhem and will post when I can.

Oh yeah, and Miss Scarlett, the queen of the house is the only one that has even hissed. She is put out, but I think she will get over it.

That's a big woo hoo at my house tonight!!! I may not be back tonight - too much fun and excitement going on right now!

THATS AWESOME! How long have u been fostering these kittens?

I am currently fostering a cat named Taz and have beem introducing him slowly to my cats and there have been no fights. PLENTY of hissing and swatting but nothing serious. However for the last 2 days as Taz became more confident, he'd start chasing my cats and they DON'T LIKE THAT AT ALL.

It's hard for me to tell if he's chasing to play or chasing to attack since I can't hear him so I can't hear him growling or whatever. Several times I'd stop him and put in my bedroom but several times I left them alone to see what happen and he would stop before he gets to them but he likes to BUG them. Any ideas on how to lessen this?? Once in a while, his fur stands up and that's when I immediately pick him up to distract him. My cats are becoming irritable and now will sometimes hiss and swat at each other and they NEVER do that till now.

How often do u foster cats and how long do u tend to foster them until a home is found for them?

This is my first time fostering. These 3 were dumped on my back stoop about 7 weeks ago. Since they mixed with the sick ferals for a few days before I could catch them, I had to quarantine them to make sure they didn't have FeLV. They had coccidia and diarrhea on and off, and finally got speutered last week. Thus the extended quarantine.

I put up baby gates across the door to their room about a week ago and they have had a lot of nose sniffs in that time. I also brought in a couple of cats for introductions during the last week.

This is hysterical. Billie is running so hard and fast she is actually panting. She also just plopped down on the kitchen floor in the middle of about 6 cats.
