I feel so bad right now. My cat was coming out of the kitchen and his tail caught in the door by accident didn't even see him :(

He screamed literally and ran to hide. I coaxed him out and he was afraid of me at first then cuddled up at me and grabbed at my neck with his paws to bring my head towards him.

He was hiding under the bed but I've given him and his sister some chicken so he is lying on the floor watching her eat and seems quite happy but I'm wondering should I check for anything I know they hide pain well.

Thank you

A tail injury is/can be very serious. The sensitive nerves connect to the spine, and also effect their bladder/bowel control and even their hind legs.

Surely traumatized, but I would still be sure to get a good feel of it, and keep a close eye on him and the tail for swelling, anything unusual.

Hopefully it was a painful bruising rather than a severed nerve or something like that.
