We lost my big Seal Lynx Point Christopher early this morning. The sweetest of cats, he was an exceptional male when he was whole, the sweetest cat when he was ill...we were lucky to have 5 - 6 weeks after his diagnosis of cancerous tumors and chylothorax.

I'm so proud of you Chris, for all you contributed to your breed, to the way you always conducted yourself with judges, company, vets...and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for a shining love I didn't even ask for and will miss forever.

Be gentle with your grandmother Bookie, give a cheekrub to your brother Sweets for me, and tell your son Cocoa how missed he is by his owner, Kathy, how special he was, just like you, his papa.

Thank you for your daughter alix p. curl, she too is a light in my life.

Breathe freely, nap in the sun, play gently with the butterflies, and be waiting for me when it's my time,

Love you Chrissy,

Pat,

Words never seem adequate at a time like this no matter what. For as much as animals change our lives while they are in them, they change them in a myriad of ways when they leave. I wish you quietness of spirit when you think of Chris, and I pray your heart will begin its healing journey soon. This path you walk now, has been walked by so many others before you, the footsteps are deep because the heart is so heavy...

Hugs ((((((((((())))))))))))) and another candle in the window is added, it's been a bad month lately for so many.

Pat & Alix, I don't know where you are up here in the Northwest, maybe close to me, maybe not. But we are sending our hugs and prayers to you. Thank you for your kind words about Freddie. Hissy is right: it has been a hard month for so many. The only time I truly feel peace is when I think of all tabby kitties meeting in heaven and being so very happy. I am so sorry. Chris will be watching you, I'm sure.

Elizabeth, Eric
and our Sasha

Then we are very close, Pat. I am so sorry for your huge loss. He must have been a gorgeous boy, your Chris. If there is anything I can do, please let me know and I would be there in a heartbeat to help you. Please sleep well.

I'm so very sorry.

I hope that it is a comfort, though, to think of him frolicking over the bridge, healthy again.

Thank you all for posting. I wish you could have met him, a more charming Curl (and they are all charming in my experience, even the shy ones) there never was. I tried to post his photo but the image I had was too large, and I don't resize well...I'll see about having Frej do so tonight.

We should have his ashes back by Saturday (I hope) along with a clay paw print they made...he had huge (for a 10 lb. cat) paws with lovely tufts of hair (wobbly smile).

Saturday, we take in his older half brother for a follow-up on a tentative diagnosis of early diabetes. This makes 3 senior catizens of mine who all have serious chronic health issues
it's going to be a difficult next year to year and a half

(((((((hugs)))))))

Cats give us so much love, in the relatively short time they're with us. It's so hard to lose them.

Thank you for that offer, it's very sweet of you! He was indeed a very, very gorgeous fellow, hopefully tonight, I can get his pix resized (last night was tired dh and tired me night) so I can post it. Heck, I may post a number of them from kittenhood on up...he had the largest, most lovely walnut shaped blue eyes and lionish face. When I showed him and his half-brother who is solid black, I used to joke that I was there with my lion and my panther.

oh, do post them! I posted so many of Freddie, who always seemed to be quite photogenic. We would love to see the "Chris pictorial". On Sunday night, after everything, Eric sifted through over 100 digital photos of our little guy and picked out about 40 and made a slide-show screen saver. Then he copied it to a CD, and gave it to me as a gift. So I can take Freddie everywhere. We would love to see sweet Chris! When opening your photos on screen, if you right click on the photo, you should see a query "Open with..." and then you can choose your application. Many of them (Pagemaker, Photoshop, HP Photo) have selections on the Tool Bar called "Crop" and "Resize". I used crop to get out all the extra stuff in the background and then Resize to set the pixles to under 400/ea for this Site to accept them. I hope you are a smidgen better today.
