If a fostered kitten wasn't eating enough he would surely cry, right? I mean she is constantly cleaning him down there. It's my first time every having a kitten (newborn)/fostering. And after waking up to my cats stillborn kitten I'm kind of paranoid and want to make sure everything is alright.

The easiest way to know if the kitten gets enough is to weigh it every day.  Easiest on an electronical kitchen scale measuring in grammes.  You can buy them cheaply in Walmart - or equivalent. Or borrow from a neighbour.  If they gain 10plus gram a day, its good.    If they are very small from beginning, they gain less of course, but say 6gram may be OK for these real smalls.

This intensive washing you mention   I guess is the so called stimulating, ie helping the kitten to evacuate.  Very important!   Mom ates what comes out...

Yes, of course you must be vigilant.  Who else will do it?   Life is a precious gift from God, and alike all precious gifts, its also very fragile.  If having unluck, the way downhill may be very short and quick.

Continue with reading on, and asking any questions you do have.  Usually you will get answer for them.

Good luck!   @CrazyCatMommy

Ps

Im mom is protective, its still usually fully probable to weight them, but you must do it respectfully and plan the procedure.  Ask how, if you are unsure.

Also, change the bedding now and then,   at least twice a week.  Breeders do it every day.

Use if possible fleece or flannel, so you dont risk it fastens in the kittens claws.

Old newspapers down there, an old towel on it, and fleece or flanner as the last layer for them to lay on.

ps2.  You have right,  hungry kittens protest and cry a lot.  So satisfied kittens are usually more or less quiet  (there comes usually sounds from them too).    But, if a kitten seems to be contend, dont say anything, sleeping a lot, BUT you suspect something is seriously not OK - beware, raise the alarm bells. It may be so he is going downhill!!!

Report here at once!

There are some fairly easy tricks for saving, just to knwo what.   I wont write it down at this moment.
