Hey all. Just found this site after acquiring our second cat!

My wife and I got our first kitten almost a year ago now. A friend of hers from work found a litter under her porch and asked if we wanted one. I was skeptical since I've always been a dog person, but we don't have the yard for one right now. My wife hates being home alone so we got her, and named her Pippa.

She was an adorable silver broken tabby . After two days hiding under the couch she quickly decided the house was hers! She has grown into a tiny, cute little brat. Active and curious but loves her people and to be carried around the house. She has been completely healthy except being born with one uterine horn and having to get her fixed twice. All is well now!

Three days ago a coworker asked if we wanted a cat. She had it for about 9 months but needed to regime it. Since we figured Pippa needed a friend since we occasionally take weekend trips we took her.

We named her Chloe and she is the sweetest cat I have ever met. Her first day was rough. She doesn't like car rides. She spent her first day hiding under the blankets in the room we gave her (we are keeping them separated right now). Today and yesterday though she wants nothing but pets and the grooming gloves. She loves to give us kisses aswell. I am not sure what sort of cat she is. She seems to be a Himalayan. Long soft fire with Siamese coloring. She has a Siamese/Normal shaped head and face though. If any one can tell from the pics please feel free to shoot me your guesses!

Pics for you guys and gals.

Pippa being cute.

Welcome to the site

And congratulations on becoming a kitty-convert

Your cats are beautiful. l don't know if Chloe is a specific breed but she looks like a long haired seal-point, and a lovely warm coloured one at that.

Awww...  Your Chloe looks like our Lucky, who is a long-haired, seal point Siamese.  I don't know if her fur is done growing, but she's going to have a fantastic plume of a tail!  Love, love...

Yea sin e my lifestyle isn't as active as it once was I'm really starting to prefer cats!

I seriously doubted she was breed or purebred. Her previous human said she was half Persian half Siamese. I've read a bit and that seems to be what people mistakenly call himmies. Doesn't matter though. Just a "neat to know" category.

Now that the hissing at each other under the door has changed to intensely staring at each other's shadows through the crack in the door we hope to have pictures of them together in a few weeks!

Welcome aboard! I laughed when you said that she became a little brat. I always have said: you take in a stray, hungry, scared little kitty. You feed it, love it, and it takes, on the average, 3.5 days for it to become an arrogant little tyrant ("Excuse me, human. This so-called 'food' in my bowl simply isn't good enough. It should be served at the proper temperature.") And we love them for it...

Hahaha I know just how you feel. We are definitely there's, not the other way around. On the flip side she can be such a sweety and just hang out when I watch tv.

Thanks for all the welcomes! Good news. We let them roam most of the house together yesterday. No fights! Pippa seems a little irritated at the thought of something in her house though.
