My cat is food controlled but the initial diagnosis and the time he got into the dry were the same. A VERY strange smell coming from his mouth and anywhere he cleaned. Lethargic to the point of hanging head off the counter, not wanting to move off the floor even when dogs were being really active. He did not do the drink more/pee more either time. He was VERY hungry the first time a week before the laying in middle of the room. He lost weight at an unreal rate. He was a bit thin but helthy weight and within a very short time looked like an abuse victim who did not eat.
well Squiggly (my 13 year old) isnt having any change whatsoever in any of those, he's always been
pretty thin i am just wondering if there is any other signs to watch for....i was afraid he may have diabetes because his nails grew very fast and very thick and embedded in his pad and i had to cut remove and wash the cuts and i thought it could be medical
Thyroid issue could cause that. And sure other things. A vet trip with a senior panel would be a good start-make sure thyroid is in that panel as that is not always included.
