Hi ,

I know this sounds gross, but we first thought our kitties had a sinus infection or virus, but after several vet visits and time, we discovered they were getting food around the nostrils.      We have two kittens, and they enthusiastically devour their wet food.  Does anyone else have this problem with their cats and have any idea how to prevent this?

Thanks

Hello, Oreo's Mom

I have the same problem too. My kittens Cleo and Sky both get black "boogers"

I'm not sure how to prevent this. Maybe try a higher bowl for the food so they don't stick their face into the kibble?

When they are sleeping, try getting a wet cotton ball and wipe their nose gently. It is best to do this when they are relaxed so they don't scratch or bite you.

That great advise Cleo!     Do the cleaning when they are relaxed.  And try a higher bowl level.  They do get black boogers.  I will keep you posted!

Thanks,
