Have any of you seen the Paw Project Movie?.  It was done by a vet in California and dispelled the myths about  declawing.  This is never a good thing for any reason.  It is very well done and available on Netflicks.  Well worth watching!  And for those of you who do not know this:  US and Canada are about the only countries that still allow this procedure.; 27 countries do not.   They say it is inhumane and cruel.

I posted my response in another thread and said the same thing I'm saying now....it's awful, and since I understand the negative effects of declawing and it was so upsetting, I didn't watch more than 10 minutes. I'm sure it was a very helpful and informative documentary, though. I was just getting far too worked up to continue watching it!

So sorry you were unable to keep watching.  The beginning and a few scenes later were the worst but I have seen some Peta ones that were just to hard to watch.  This movie is really not intended for those like you who already know the facts but those who do not.  So many people have no idea what is done and some vets make light of the procedure.  What I really liked about it is that so many misconceptions were addressed like cats not getting homes, that cats are returned for scratching,  that cats can't be trained and that the children will be scratched.

Thanks for trying and continue to spread the word to people who are unaware!
