A coworker of my husbands found the sweetest little guy abandoned in the parking lot of where they work... We took him in when he was roughly 2 weeks old (vet estimate). Hes about 4-5 weeks old now and his little teeth are coming in so I have started the weaning process..... kind of. I mixed the wet food with KMR like instructed but he would only take it from an eyedropper so I was still hand feeding him for fear that he would not get enough nutrition. Ive been doing that for a while now, I fear that it may have been too long bc now he REFUSES to eat on his own.... He will look at his food and either turn away from it or walk past (or through) it.

I know it is getting to the point that he should be starting to eat on his own but it seems like every attempt Ive made for him to do so has failed. The past roughly 4-5 days that I have been eyedropper feeding him, I have tried encouraging him to eat from the bowl first an he just won't! I need advice and/or tips on how to get my newest addition to the family to start eating for himself....

Thanks In Advance!!!!

Not long after posting this, I got the idea to put a little bit of the food in my hand and see if he would take it.... HE DID!!! He went to town!!!! It was a messy business but it worked and we can work our way up to the bowl hopefully rather quickly!!!
