So I just saw my baby vomit for the first time.

I just put her food on the ground, but I don't think she had touched it yet. She started puking right on the carpet, and there was a big hairball in there. She is on a raw diet with several different proteins. The smell of her vomit was actually the same smell that occurs when one of my thawed ziploc bags of raw food goes bad. Normally I can tell the second I open the bag. However she definitely hasn't eaten any spoiled food lately, because I like I said, I can smell if it's gone bad it the second I open the bag.

So she puked a big pile with a hairball, and then much smaller amounts about 5 times over the next 20 minutes after that. Then I went into the bathroom and noticed there was actually vomit IN the kitty litter, in addition to a bowel movement.

So, what could this be? Just a hairball episode? Food not agreeing with her? Clearly I am going to be keeping my eye on her, but could this possibly be something bigger? She is 10 months old.

Sounds like the food is not agreeing with her. How long have you been feeding the raw?

She's never had anything but raw in her entire life.

It's probably not the raw, @HarryLime.  LDG just mentioned the other day that some of her non-hairball cats are yacking hairballs.  Hairballs are heinous this year.  Check out my Vet's Best Hairball Relief in the raw forum.

Thanks, but actually there was only a hairball in her first vomiting session. She actually vomited again this morning twice, but hardly anything came out. (just for timeframe... that's only about an 8 hour span, so I'm assuming it's all coming from the same bad meal) She has acted totally normal throughout the last day.

Ok so just now after not vomiting since early this morning, I heard the gagging vomiting sound yet again, and she vomited basically just liquid. She ate most of her meal this afternoon in addition to two treats, and she DIDN'T puke that up (as far as I know). Think I should wait and see what happens, or call a vet in the morning?

I'd call the vet.  It still sounds like hairballs to me, but I'm not a vet.

Just read these last two posts now. She's been A-OK all day, eating all her food, running around and asking for treats. Gonna keep my eye on her of course, but she seems to be OK now.
