My cat jewels lost her mucus plug about 2 days ago, this is her third litter but this is the first time I have seen her lose it. How long after losing the mucus plug should she go into labor or her water break???

Most often the labor begins quite shortly, hours, perhaps a day-two, after the mucus plugs gone, but NOT always!    It can go even weeks before.

Its not optimal, as the risc for infections get bigger, but - as said, it happens...

So none of the "signs" is firesure...    Kittens come when they come.   As luck is, cats manage usually a little too long pregnancy well, better than humans.

While a too short pregnancy is a deadly threat for the kittens.

Are you a breeder?  If not, please consider strongly to spay her as soon the kittens are more or less weaned.  It will be typically at about 8 weeks, but the exact time depends partly on circumstances.

Good luck!
