Hi, i have joined this site hoping for an answer to whats going on with my kitty!!!  His name is Tanner and he is 2 years old.  he has a twin brother named Thomas who is not affected by this...

SSSoooo lets get to the ailment.  I noticed this a few weeks age.  One of my other cats, Sky, (we have three, Tanner, Thomas, and Sky but we're watching Sky, he is not our cat), stuck his face into a tick nest and we had to pick them all out.  We've gotten them all but now MY cat, Tanner, has this weird skin condition.  It's right in between his eyebrows and his ears, it follows the entire path of his eyebrow on both sides.  At first when i saw it it was barely noticeable and i thought he was just freaking out and scratching his head thinking he had ticks too.  I have never found one tick on him, even now.  this was two weeks ago but now it has gotten bigger and there has been much more hair loss.  there are also small red splotches where the hair is falling out. at first i thought he had found the nest of ticks or something but at a closer look i realized they weren't bugs, but skin discoloration.  They aren't bleeding or pussing or even inflamed.  they are right around some of the hair follicles in the effected area. Any insight into what it could be?

I have included pictures of his face.  He is smart and i think knows whats going on so he let me inspect and take pictures of his face lol

Please, if anyone knows what it might be or what remedies i can use (non toxic please) then let me know :)

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!!

So, in the first pic you can't see much, but in the last two you can see the red splotshes

The tan area below his ear and just above his eye is skin and a few hairs and the blotches.  They are worse toward his nose in this area but more scattered as the bald spot recedes towards the side of his forehead

this is from the side.  They look like little tiny red ovals.  not like ringworm but more like a legion or rash.  they are not really disturbing him from what ive noticed but the one cat who doesn't have anything wrong with him has isolated them to a specific area in the house and outside.  we have a closed yard and the cats only have access to the neighbors yard, which is also completely enclosed

I hope these help!!!!

I know this is an old post, but I am curious. Did you ever figure out what it was? My cat has one or two of these tiny red spots in the exact same spot.
