new manx

Last month, June 10, I adopted a 8 week old kitten.  She has a stubby tail, round face, perky ears, fluffy-not too long-fur.  Her colouring is difficult to describe, Dark gray tabby perhaps but instead of stripes she has spots!

She is the most playful kitten I have ever seen.  She is also very determined, she will try and try to reach or catch whatever she wants. 

She follows me around, if I go into a room and close the door she will lay by the door and reach under meowing sooo pitifully.....lol.

Even tho she follows me she doesn't like to be picked up, held or petted.  Moving fingers are targets!  Playtoys!!

I have a ball, just a bit smaller than a soccer ball in the house for my grandchildren, this kitten will play with it. 

She bats it around and actually rolls around with it clutched in her paws.  It is so priceless to watch her play with this ball that is twice her size.

I will try to get some pictures loaded.  Maybe someone can help identity her colouring.

I don't know what her breeding is.  I saw the mom, she had a stubby tail and similar colouring to the kitten, they also both have very strong haunches and longer hind legs.  No idea what the dad may have been.

Thank you for the welcome!  I call her Pepper, because she is sooo salty, lol   She really is a bundle of energy and personality plus. 

My only concern with her is she insists on trying to play with my older cat who is sooo laidback and calm.  The kitten will literally jump on her back or jump at her front and wrap both front legs around the older girls neck.

It is hilarious to watch but I really feel for my old girl, she has been such a loving and perfect companion I feel bad the kitten hassles her so much.  A kitten with less energy would be better.  But Pepper is soo cute and fun.
