Hey everyone! So my three old kitten has had one session out of two of her basic vaccines and I was wondering if I can take her out already with a leash before she is done with the second session. She's a lead leash trained and all. It's because I love in a one room apartment and I feel sorry for her being only alone at home and I want to take her out on a leash. So can I? It'll be a garden that's so quiet no dogs and not many people go there.

Thanks in advance

I would wait till all vaccines are given, theres a good chance nothing could happen but better safe then sorry, if you want to wait then get a toy and play with her before and after work but while ur away the kitten usually sleeps

I would wait for the vaccines and also plan on using Revolution.  In my opinion taking cats out for a walk is a bad thing; great for them, bad for you!  I started taking my cat out 6 years ago.  Like most cats he does not want to walk down the street, but get in the neighbors bushes and hunt!  He drives me crazy all summer with wanting to go out all the time and peeing in the house if he does not get his way.  Yes, I have created my own little monster by spoiling him.  I work at a small humane society and customers tell me exactly the same thing.

Also, going outside requires a lot more vaccines, plus you have to give to keep up with them and maybe worming if they start chopping on some prey they attack.  I have a Tagg GPS on him in case he gets away but I would never leave him out alone.  Tried this once and got to many gray hairs worrying about him.  Lastly, his previous owners abused him with declawing so he can not even climb a tree to get out of danger.
