Minka looks gorgeous, and from your description and watching her video she seems to be settling in nicely.

If she sleeps quite heavily and doesn't have her paws firmly tucked in under her body you might want to try clipping her claws (even if it's just one at a time) without moving her from her spot.  It would be good to get the needle sharp points of those kitten claws!  Start off just touching her paws and see if she reacts.

Awww, dunness dacious.  She has done some serious growing since you last posted pictures of her.  You will be amazed at how fast she grows.

I haven't had kittens for 25 years, and when I got my boys, if I left the house for as little as two days, I was amazed at how fast they grew in that time.

Furthermore, they didn't really sleep that much either.  Once they got used to me and learned that I wasn't going to kill them (LOL), they set about exploring the house.  I must say that they have been very good, and have only jumped as high the kitchen counter.  We have cathedral ceilings and two clerestory windows in our house.  We used to come home and hear from outside the house:  "clump", "clump", "clump", "clump".  That meant Angel (sometimes I wonder about her name...) leapt down from the clerestory window ledge onto the gallery ledge above the refrigerator, then onto the counter from the refrigerator and onto the floor to greet us as though she had been totally innocent as her name suggests.

My boys have been perfect gentlemen in comparison.

I should add that Angel had some kind of oriental ancestry in her background.  She was VERY vocal and active up until her death at 18 years of age.

Thank everyone for all the advice, her nails where clipped at the vet today and told me to come in every 2 weeks or I do them every two weeks, my mother in law is a vet tech so she was there too which was nice and she told me she will come over to the house sometime and show me how to clip them, she was ok with the front paws but the back ones she was not happy about lol. She is a cuttie and I am so excited to see how she is going to grow.

I know she has grown a lot eh, and her color I am surprised is darker than I thought It would be, my mother in law thinks she is going to be a chocolate Siamese instead of a seal point, so we will have to see.

She slept for about 3 hours today after her shot but she is back to her wild ways now.

OMG she just did the most cutest thing, her create was still in the kitchen and bunch up in her create was her blanket, she just went into the kitchen and I knew she was up to something and as I got up to see I could see in teeth her blanket in her mouth and she was dragging her blanket underneath the couch.... OMG tooo cute... wish my camera was running at that time.

anyway enough of my rambling, thanks again and I will be doing updates of how she is doing.

If she is darker and her nose leather is dark she is Seal point. If her nose leather has a cinnamon chocolate hue to it then a chocolate. Also a Chocolates coat does not darken as it ages whereas a Seal points does. She is very sweet.

I was going to say that, but had to be away from the computer for many reasons.  A seal-point is always darker on the mask legs and tails.

I had a seal-point Siamese once--he was a lovely guy.   His Momma had to go back north when she got sick, and I took the Siamese and his younger companion cat, a long haired black and white with a face that looked like a pansy,  home with me.  They lived with me for several years, and I loved them dearly.  Suki (the Siamese) passed first as he was the older cat.  Little Mom, the B&W pansy faced cat passed a couple of years later.

When I suggested to their human Mother, that I would take both.  She tried to say that So and So would take Little Mom.  I said NO, those two cats are COMPANIONS, and it will kill both of them if they are separated.  When I brought them home, they were attached side-by-side, and walked around in unison to check the place out.  I had never seen cats do that before.  They literally looked like they were harnessed side-by-side, only closer.  Once they were comfortable and satisfied with they were satisfied with the surroundings, they relaxed enough to go here and there on their own.

WOW thank you all so much for your help, ok I think I can say from what you are all telling me I am super confident that she is a Seal Point.

Ok so update Minka has been home now for a little over a week. She has been getting into some trouble for sure that we are trying to get her out of. Mostly one of them is our fault, she likes to nibble, and bite a bit. I know she is just a kitten and its our fault for playing with her with our hand when we rub her tummy but just too hard to resist...lol. but we are now backing away from that part of it. she is defiantly now completely warmed up to us, she even comes to the door when we get home which is really cute. She has explored pretty much the whole house and has found some pretty interesting hiding places that we would never think of. She has discovered the Fridge and the dishwasher, always wanting into both of them when we are using them, I make sure she does not go in though in case you where all wondering. She loved to run around and play which is great and when it is time for relax time she cuddles up beside both of us or on one persons lap and purrs her self to sleep. We cannot believe how fast she is getting comfortable with us.

well that is about all the news I can think of, will give another update as time passes.

Thank you all for commenting and giving me some sound advice.

here is a little treat for you all enjoy :D

And enjoy I did!  :-D   What a difference 3 weeks makes! Minka is so sleek and looks just like a mini cat.  I can't get over how much more muscular and cat like kittens can grow in such a tiny amount of time.

It's lovely to see Minka run for his new human companion's legs for safety as she hides and hunts her mouse, all puffed up and trying to looks scary.
Thank you so much for sharing.  I have a massive smile on my face now just thinking about her jumping about.  May she get in to lots more mischief and give you many years of fun and love, she looks absolutly beautiful.

What a beauty your little kitten has grown in to!   And quite an acrobat too.
She's a bit like Mouse - forgets to look before she leeps...  I trust she is fine despite her little adventure at the top of the stairs.
Mouse used to have quite a few accidents and quite a few trips to the vet when he was around the age Minka is now so hope she is luckier than my boy.

I hope you have seen your baby's picture of the week photograph in the TCS video on YouTube?

,

Yup she is just fine, that's when I put the camera down to check and see if she was ok. I never knew cats could move like that.

Sounds like Mouse is just like Minka, hope Mouse is well.

Yup saw the video I told Minka that she is famous now. :D

I can't believe how big she is getting, I think she is going on 8 months now. she is so amazing though quite a personality, and still has tons of energy.

She is starting to talk more, which the first few month she would only talk when she is hungry, now I have to decipher the cat meow code. :)

Going to be taking more pictures soon so you can actually she her colors, they seem to be coming in really nicely.

Talk to you all soon.

Kat

P.S looks like we might be getting a Minka buddy this year so will keep you all posted on that :D

Minka's more like Mouse than I thought there - what fun.   I love your 'ouch'.

Mouse does that hide and seek run off and stick the head round the door thing but he keeps repeating it and squeaking for you to follow him until you give in and join in the play.   No stairs in my apartment so it's a run from one end of the apartment to the other.
When Minka's layed out underneath where you're sitting on the stair I just want to reach out and touch her, she is so lovely.  I can't resist active, cheeky cats full of purrsonality like her.

What are your plans for a possible buddy for her?  (I'd love a buddy for Mouse but I'm too worried about upsetting him as he's so settled in his territory).
