I have a 2 and a half year old maine coon mix, Einstein, I have had about a year now. I am actually bringing another cat home tomorrow from a rescue group called Animal Allies base in NJ. I usually feed my maine coon either Nuto Max or Science Diet Advanced Protection (new product that he absolutely loves). Does anyone have any advice as to what food I should feed? Is the royal canin really superior to Nutro and Science Diet?

They are both 2-3 year old male cats and I want to give them the best.

Thank you!

Kara

I'd actually rate Nutro slightly higher than Science Diet and RC. Of course, you're going to have to find something both cats will eat. Ours refuses RC, will eat Nutro, but loves SD. Other good ones are Felidae, Solid Gold, California Natural (which JC also won't eat), Wellness (unavailable here; the producer has so far refused to export because of the red tape). If you browse through the threads here, you'll find plenty of recommendations, but I don't see anything wrong with sticking with Nutro and SD.

I replied to your private message to me about Nutro, since I became a demonstrator I have learned everything about this brand compared to others, so look for my response! Any further questions, I can fill you in on why instead of other brands! Thanks! Linda
