Hi,

I'm a lazy person, I guess that last time I worked out was over 2 years ago. :p

I suddenly decided to do some work out. So I played the file on my TV and went on.

My kitty was looking at me strangely and then somehow attacked me.

Once he tried to bite me, and he did (was a mild one, thanks God).

And the second time he somehow hit my face with his paw (but his claws were inside).

I guess he saw the work our movements as a threat or aggression gesture! Or maybe he is a typical cat who loves laziness and lazy people. :)

Did that happen to anyone too?

It hasn't happened to me, thankfully :)

The closest I've gotten to that was my kittens sitting on my laptop while I was using it.

Maybe they just want us to themselves
I guess your cat is a computer geek.

I found Ritz and her siblings; my friend and cat mentor rescued and fostered them in her home. I helped a little. Prior to Ritz I'd never been around cats before.
Her foster mom didn't own a television (still doesn't). I do.
The very first tv show she saw was an workout tape (step aerobics)! She didn't think much about it :)
Now when I do my exercises (physical therapy and others), she usually ignores me, usually she is 'exercising' her eye balls on the wildlife outside. At 4 a.m., there are many birds and the occasional fox, rabbit and deer.
Sometimes when I'm on the floor doing an exercise, she'll come over and sniff. It's my clue that she wants to cuddle. Any excuse not to exercise!

Haha! My cat attacks me when I try to work out, too! It doesn't even matter what I'm doing. I live in a studio apartment, so I just have to wait until he is asleep to do anything.

Where my cats are
Noodles used to lay on my little exercise mat when I was doing pilates.  I think it was Noodles I nearly rolled on doing a move.  They learned to stay back!

Not my cat and not exactly about working out but ... a friend had that young cat that once attacked me because I was walking back and forth in the room - between two of my friends working and my desk. She watched be walk with big eyes and suddenly jumped at me all claws out ...  we never knew why.

My cat Zoe doesn't attack, but is very curious if I'm doing yoga.  Cats and yoga don't mix.

Yeah, I was thinking that Ritz does a cat/cow a lot and a version of Down Dog.

Hahaha! That's exactly the routine.
I teach from home, and I have students who all say 'Aaawww! Can't the cats stay for class?'..

How little they know.

It's not only the poses.  Doing a Yoga Nidra lying down, completely in another place, it's somewhat disconcerting when you get a sandpaper lick on the cheek..
