What is regurgitation exactly? Maia eats really fast sometimes and when im gonna wash her plate I found food undigested mostly kibble but sometimes I have found the fancy feast on the floof apparently recently evacuated because is still warm. and its not that shes sick because her stool is normal and shes her normal self playful and everything. I have seen her doing this and it looks and sounds like she has a hairball. My boyfriend told me is a territorial thing because Foley likes to eat the food she leaves in her plate even though she's not finished. she eats a little bit, leaves and then comes back to finish but with foley hovering all over her food I think she eats it all even if shes full. this is not a regular thing it just happens every once in a while but I wanna hear from you guys what opinions or advice do you have? is this a health issue or behavioral one?

Regurgitation is throwing up undigested food.   It occurrs shortly after the cat eats.   The food is in the esophogas and never makes it into the stomach.    Eating too fast would definitely be a factor.   As opposed to vomiting which is throw up of digested food or material from deeper in the GI system.
