Good day all,

I'm not sure what I am supposed to say here but, I guess the story of out beloved Biggie will do!

Recently we (Boyfriend & Daughter) rescued a 5-6 week old Maine Coon mix (Both his parents may have been the same breed). in the beginning of June this year. Driving home from work one very hot day here in Texas I see a sign on the side of the road, Thinking it was a garage sale sign I squinted to read it and sure enough it said "FREE KITTENS". I did a u-turn and went to go see them, I had little intentions of taking one for the simple fact we live in a very small apartment right now and we are gone most of the day. I've been a big kitty lover since I was little, my family as well.We once had 6 females we had taken in off the streets who all ended up getting pregnant at the same time, two months later we had 23 cats! I loved every moment of it! Anywho, I'm getting off topic....

When I arrived at said house, I had expected to be invited in to see the kitties, instead a woman tells me to go around back. Once she comes out, she points to a kennel which is outside, in direct sunlight and there sits this little fuzzy ball of cuteness. I couldn't believe she'd have such a little guy outside all by himself. Once I grabbed him, I noticed he had pee all over him, she tried to say it was water but, my completely white dress said otherwise. I start asking her questions about the him, about the mother etc... His eyes were still blue and just starting the turn to the beautiful brown they are now. She lied about everything trying to get me to take the kitten.... Mostly about his age!

I asked if he had fleas, she said no- I was rubbing on his side and could feel them running around on him, she of course said she gave him a bath. Which I grilled her about but, there were also big matts of dried gunk in his fur, so the bath was also a lie.

I asked if he was born and raised outside, she said yes (I'm pretty confident she was lying)

After several other questions and obvious lies, I called my boyfriend to and he agreed we should take him out of there.

Story isn't over yet! Sorry it's so long! Keep reading!

Once we got him home, he had a lot of trouble eating and would vomit almost every time, we could not get him to drink any water nothing. I put two and two and realized this poor baby was not fully weaned yet, so I rushed out to the store and got him some formula which we had to force feed to him for about a week. Fortunately, after that he started eating and drinking on his own. We took him to the vet about three days after we got him, of course he had round worms and wouldn't even register on the regular scale! His little self was only .8lbs!

Anyways, after many worms, including tape worm, we're still fighting the fleas though, hopefully not for much longer. He is doing great! Weighs about 2 1/2lbs already, extremely playful and super sweet (In the morning and when I first get home from work)

His name is another story he certainly lives up to it but, I'll leave that for another time.

WE are happy to be part of the catsite community and look forward to talking with all of you!
