Hi everyone my cat went missing july 1st but he finally came home I am having him neuterd and chipped. But just one question will that keep him from wanting to get out so bad or do I still have to worry about him escaping?

Neutering him will certainly stop him from desperately trying to get out to find females to mate with, but it will take several weeks for the hormones to get out of his system. There's no guarantee that he won't still try to escape the house, but the urge won't be nearly as strong.

So happy he came home and you will be getting him neutered.  His hormones will slowly dwindle, but you will want to keep him inside for 3-6 weeks until the hormones are gone.  Some cats still have the instinct to wander and to want to be outside, but the yowling, fighting and of course impregnating females will be gone.

Do you plan to keep him inside full time?

You might want to try a feliway adapter to help calm him as well as some Composure to keep him calm.  I like the Composure liquid max, but it is also available in treats.
