This might be the wrong place, but just wondering, my cat is in surgery (many fractures in back right paw) and how can I take care of her? She won't be able to move, and she has everything she needs, but is there anything else I can do?

Make sure you get written instructions from the vet for care at home after the surgery.

She probably won't put any weight on the foot while it's still hurting, but once it starts healing it's almost impossible to stop her using it. In order to prevent running, jumping, climbing, etc. you may need to confine her to a crate. The large wire dog crates work well. It need to be big enough to put her bed, food, water, and litter box in it. A solid kennel doesn't work as well because you can't see into it easily. You can drape a towel or blanket over the wire crate to make her feel safer and still move it when you want to check on her.

Sending lots of :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes: for a rapid recovery.

Thanks! And she has to stay in the crate right when she gets home.
