I am seeking feedback from those whom have given DE food grade to their felines. I have read various responses as to the proper dosage and am

somewhat confused. My colony feeds out of separate bowls vs. a communal one. Also, is dusting to be done in a minimalist fashion?  Your

thoughts and experiences with DE food grade are appreciated. Thanks.

I use it sparingly - a small spoonful on their wet food once or twice a month, as needed.  I do dust their bedding and houses and will also sprinkle it around their compound (I have a large enclosure for my two outside cats).

Try a little and increase it as you need to.  If you can, give them a topical as well.  This will take care of the entire cycle of pests.

Be careful with sprinkling the DE.  It has a very fine, flour-like texture that makes it easy to inhale.  I never sprinkle of breezy days but will also wear a mask, too, just to be safe.
