Hey all. I have a question on bowel movement.. pasha is my first pet so I'm still getting to know what's normal and what's not. I have no point of reference aside from research I do and my gut feeling.
Pasha is deaf, he's turkish, he's 2 years old and neutered. I've had him for 3 months now.

He'd always use the toilet right after food. Not even 15 minutes after he'd eat he'd be in his litter box already. His poop is normal, not too hard and not too soft. Is this normal?

For example he just ate little bit of his lunch and went immediately to the bathroom. When I almost removed his food he came back to finish it but there's no second visit to the litter box so far.

Gastrocolic reflex.  If the poop is normal, then depending on what he eats and how often he's going, this is normal.

I love it when my cat does this first thing after his morning meal. Then I know he's good for the day. And I'm good for the day. (he's had constipation problems in the past).

I didn't know this was something with a name! I used to tease him about "making room" when he did this after his first morning plate; I guess he really was.

Yep, humans do this to.  The difference between IBD/IBS and normalcy is the timing of it.

My cats poop either just before mealtime (making room, I'm sure...LOL) or within 30 mins after.  As long as it's his regular routine, then it's normal.  You'll find that what's "normal" for one cat isn't necessarily "normal" for another cat.  Seems like he's regular, which is a very good thing for you and him.
