I had gotten my kitten when she was only 3 weeks old. As she was my first cat, I was really worried about how well I could care for her. My friend was leaving the state which was why I had her so early. She has gone from a mere 2.5 ounces to about 3lbs ! I noticed today that some of her whiskers (about 3-4) look as if they were cut-possibly just regrowing? Not sure .. Is this normal ? Are cats supposed to lose whiskers. She's not around anyone who would cut them so that's out of the question

That's interesting!  Wonder if she got them caught in something.  They'll grow back.  Cats lose whiskers, but they grow back.

Thanks ! I heard that cats shouldn't lose whiskers- something about their balance, so I was nervous.

Whiskers are one of the many ways cats navigate life, but your little one's whiskers will regrow and she'll be fine.  Mother cats will sometimes chew the whiskers of kittens who stray too far to keep them closer.
