So I've found my self in an extremely unforeseen situation...here's the back story

I am active duty air force living in base housing on Travis AFB California

I had been married for 6 months when my husband decided he would rather pursue relationships outside of our marriage, when I was home on leave for a funeral he packed up and moved to Florida. I am actively pursuing a divorce and here is where the issue arises. The house that I live in is ONLY for married Airmen, thus once my divorce begins I will have to move. Military finance is not the most expeditious system there is and it can take up to a month for housing allowance to be allocated. This in turn puts a damper on my renting an apartment until those allowances are processed. I have a place I can stay while that process is happening, but they do not allow cats due to severe allergies. I know it is a stretch but I was curious that in the even this situation unfolds exactly as I plan it to I may need a cat sitter for roughly a month, I will gladly provide all supplies, food, toys etc for my kitties along with monetary compensation and probably lots of baked goodies to whomever is gracious enough to help me out. I refuse to lose my bits, I love them dearly. I am happy to answer any more questions, provide medical records on them etc.

Thanks

-Lauren

First of all, kudos to you for determining to keep the kitties.  Many people would not do that.  Second of all - beautiful kitties!

We have a place in Jersey called Seer Farms, which is designed for just this situation.  They take in animals in emergency situations to prevent their families from having to loose them.  www.seerfarms.org.  Maybe they know of a place near you?

Also, I'd think the military would have contacts with local rescues/shelters for foster homes in just such a situation.  If not, maybe that's something you can think about starting - just establishing a network of foster homes to help out as needed?

Good luck - and thanks again for working so hard to keep these guys.
