July 4th, 2013. My dad and step-mom were sitting on their back porch watching fireworks when their dog suddenly tore off into their field. They both ran after him and found him shaking something in his mouth.
It turned out to be a small kitten.
When my dad finally got the kitten away from him - which was not easy - the poor thing was already dead and they started to walk away to bury it. But their dog went back to the same spot and started going crazy trying to get under some scrap metal.
My dad was able to hold him back this time while my step-mom pulled up the metal and found this little guy!
They did not find any other kittens or the mother so they gave him to me! I named him Sebastian and we've been best buds ever since.
