My kitten has terrible gas!!

Alley is 11 weeks old and she passes gas like you woulden't
believe - she will be sitting on my lap and all of a sudden
she farts and it stinks! is this normal? i have never owned
a cat that has so much gas.

She's got a funky smell lol

yep they are normal....just can't understand why
she has gas so bad

You might want to change to another kitten formula (gradually). The vet put my fosters on a high protein diet to help their diarrhea and while it helped to firm them up, they have the worst gas and the stinkiest stool that I've ever experienced.

Can I assume that the kitten has been to the vet for a health checkup already?

When we bought her they gave us a bag of Nutro Max
but we haven't tried it yet,maybe i'll try giving
her that and see what happens.

If she was on Nutru before you got her, it could be that her system is adjusting to the science diet. I've never had gas with SD and that's all I've fed mine for the last 13 years. Can you check with the folks that you got her from and find out what they were feeding her? Food changes can cause gas until they are adjusted.
